I am a PhD student in the English department at Claremont Graduate University. I received my BA in English and Medieval Studies from the University of Chicago and my MA in English from Claremont Graduate University. My research interests include:
Nature and ecology in medieval and early modern texts, including depictions of animal and plant life; celestial phenomena; seasons, weather, and agricultural labor patterns; natural disasters and miracles; and climate change
Medieval and early modern literary texts in conversation with contemporary theories in mathematics and the natural sciences
Catalogs, lists, diagrams, and other structures for organizing and communicating information; how knowledge was obtained, evaluated, organized, and communicated in the premodern world
Practices and beliefs surrounding death and dying in the pre- and early modern worlds
